Do I keep my factory warranty at an independent workshop? Yes.

Many EV owners believe they must use the brand dealership to keep their warranty. That is not the case: you are free to choose an officially approved workshop, as long as the service follows the manufacturer's service program and is documented. We service to factory specifications and register the work digitally — your factory and new-car warranty remain fully valid. That gives you the freedom to choose a local workshop in Sandefjord, often with shorter waiting times.

Battery health and SoH measurement

The battery is the most expensive component in an EV, and its state of health (SoH) determines both range and resale value. We measure the battery's real capacity and give you a report — useful before buying or selling a used EV, for warranty assessments, or if you notice reduced range.

EU inspection for EVs

EVs follow the same EU inspection intervals as other cars, but the inspection differs slightly: there is no emissions test, and extra attention is paid to the 12V battery and the brakes — which wear differently on EVs due to regenerative braking. We are officially approved for EU inspection of EVs.

Hybrid vehicles

For hybrids we also service the combustion engine, including oil changes and other required maintenance items — all in one place, in the same workshop visit.

Frequently asked questions

Do EVs need service?

Yes. Even though EVs have fewer wear parts than conventional cars, they still need regular service. This includes inspection of the brake system, suspension, AC, battery, software and electrical systems.

Do I lose my factory warranty if you service my EV?

No. You are free to choose an officially approved independent workshop without losing your factory warranty, as long as the service follows the manufacturer's service program and is documented. We service to factory specifications and register the work digitally — this applies to EVs and hybrids too.

What is an SoH measurement of the EV battery?

SoH (State of Health) is the battery's real condition and capacity compared to when it was new. We measure SoH and provide a written report — useful before buying or selling a used EV, for warranty assessments, or if you notice reduced range.

Do you repair charging cables and equipment?

Yes. We diagnose and repair charging cables, plugs and the car's charging electronics. Bring the cable you use daily when you drop off the car, and we test the whole charging chain.

Why won't my EV start when the main battery is full?

The most common cause is the small 12V battery, which powers the car's electronics and must work for the car to "wake up" — regardless of how full the main battery is. We test the 12V battery and replace it if needed.

Is the EU inspection different for EVs?

The intervals are the same, but the content differs slightly: no emissions test, and extra focus on the 12V battery and the brakes, which wear differently on EVs due to regenerative braking. We are officially approved for EU inspection of EVs.

How often should I service my EV?

Most EV manufacturers recommend service every 12 months or every 20,000-30,000 km, depending on the model. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations in the owner's manual for your specific car model.

Can you do bodywork on EVs?

Yes, we have the expertise and equipment to perform bodywork on EVs. This requires special knowledge of high-voltage systems and safety procedures, which our technicians are certified for.
